The Tulsi Apothecary is the on-line tulsi shop of The Tulsi Chai Company.

The Apothecary offers a specialty line of tulasi teas developed by Eknath (Director of The Fire Yoga School) to help bring the body, mind, and spirit into balance. The tulsi leaves are bought from sources which support organic and tribal farmers of India and other areas of the world where conditions are proper for the growing and harvesting of fresh tulsi. In our specialty teas that you will read about below, all the herbs or flowers used are blended with the tulsi leaves to create a healing tonic which are personally harvested and blended by Eknath. Eknath is a channel for healing; and, through his intuition has helped many to overcome various health issues through the application of certain herbs and flowers. Some of the more common plant healers he suggests have been mixed with tulsi to increase their effectiveness in our line of specialty teas.

Daily, Eknath performs puja, or a worship of adoration, to the Divine Mother and chants the Lalita Sahasranama, or The 1000 Names of The Divine Mother. During the worship of the Divine Mother, or the creative aspect of the One God, all tulsi leaves and plants are offered lovingly to the Creator of All. Thus, the plants and herbs used in all of our teas are imbued and blessed with divine mantras; and, all teas become prasad, or blessed healing food, sanctified through the puja.

Please note: All of our products are handmade and blessed through puja to the Divine Mother. We are not in the business of mass production. Dried plant and herb products may be kept for up to one year after which they should be disposed of and renewed. Tulsi Chai Gift Baskets: An 8oz container of dried specialty tulsi tea, dried ground ginger, and a portion of jaggery, or refined sugar which contains many vitamins and minerals. (The leaves, ginger, and a teaspoon of jaggery added to boiling water creates what is called tulsi chai in India. Milk may or may not be added to taste.)
